IBC minutes Nov. 12, 2014
The club met at MCL with 17 present. Thanks to Russa our hostess. Sue wished happy birthdays to Sharon, Paula, Pat Ward and Kathy.
Margaret reported $677.75 in treasury. We voted to give our monies from the Christmas raffle to little sisters of the poor per suggestion of Margaret. Pay dues $5 today and Dec. to get name in program book.
The grant from NBS that Sharon has been working on was accepted. We get $500 for publicity. Indiana is the first state to receive this. Sharon had the advertising cards for us to pass out. They were $163 for 2000.
Sue read thank you note from Animal Rescue Fund in Muncie for $70. This is where Joyce sent the money she received from supplies when we made the bracelets.
The program was Russa selling her buttons. Sue brought cards, sleeves and cases from Beth Ann Craig. Pat Ward also had buttons for sale.
We had show n tell and the raffle.

Next meeting is the Christmas party, Wednesday, Dec 10, at George's restaurant on E. 71st at Binford Blvd. Bring button exchange and extra raffle prizes. The money will be donated to Little Sisters of the Poor.

Indianapolis Button Club Minutes October 8 2014

The club met at MCL with 15 present. Thanks to Nina our hostess. Sue wished happy birthdays to Linda and herself. Jan Stimson was back but still has issues with her leg and heart. Margaret reported $662 in treasury. She suggested we pay dues in Nov. so Sharon can put only members in the program book.
Russa will be at meeting in November selling buttons.
Sharon sent in the Grant info to NBS to Jerry DeHay, they will get it back to her ASAP, then we will know if we get $500 for publicity for the 2015 show. Sharon and husband made advertising cards to hand out. Can buy 2000 for $150??
We voted to keep the Show admission to $3. The appetizer time + favor button is $25.
Carol had a very informative program on insects. She had pictures of each genus group and a card of buttons for most. Others also brought cards.
We had show n tell and the raffle.
Next meeting November 12, 11am, MCL Castleton. Russa will sell buttons.

INDIANAPOLIS BUTTON CLUB SEPTEMBER 10, 2014
The Club met at MCL with 12 present.  Thanks to Sharon our hostess. 
Sue wished happy birthdays to Johnnie, Margaret, Nina and Deann.
Margaret reported we have approx $650 in treasury.  She said we only make about $10 a month from raffle with a $5 tip to the waiter.  She will order more cards.  Since it is expensive to send flowers, we will no longer do so.  We voted to just make a $25 donation to member's favorite charity in event of a member or spouse's death only.  
Sharon reported on the grant from NBS for publicity for 2015 Show.   She has corresponded with Jerry Dehay, needs info by Nov 1.  Can Use Mckensie News Service for $150 for blasts to several Medias.  Try to get article in Star week before.  Cynthia working on projected budget , hours for show time volunteers, graphic, etc.  Publicity grant program is on NBS site.
Sondra is sending contracts this week.   There will be no buffet or meal.  It will be appetizers for $18 including favor button.  Will order 40 favor buttons.   The appetizer reception will be Friday at 5:30 with bingo following, bring $5 button to play.
Sharon had a very informative program on fabric and textile buttons.  She had many examples to pass as did other members.  The May 2006 National Bulletin explains fabric buttons.

Indianapolis Button Club  Minutes August 2014
The Club met at MCL with 13 present.  Thanks to Joyce our hostess.  Sue wished Happy Birthdays
Margaret was back from knee surgery.  She reported we had 555.75$ in bank and $65 cash.
No old business.  New business, Sharon received letter from Harriet Britinham about the grant from NBS.  We need cost for advertizing .  We signed up to where we will take flyers
Sondra questioned if we wanted a meal. When meetings will be, raffle drawing. More discussion to follow.  The show hours will be Friday March 13, 1p-5p.  Saturday 14th  9am-3pm,   check in trays Friday 8:30 to 9:30am,  judging 9:30 to 1pm.  3pm Saturday check out trays. 
We then made button bracelets with lots of help and supplies from Joyce.  Thanks Joyce, they were all beautiful.  The monies we donated for supplies were going to be donated to humane society. 
We ate and had the raffle.

IBC July 2014
The Club met at MCL Castleton with 16 present. Sue opened the meeting. Thanks to Sondra our hostess.
The Club sent flowers to Betty Bolen for the passing of her husband.
Audrey Boldt passed away.
Sharon sent message to dealers about the new date and location of 2015 Show in Ipls.
She also applied for a grant from National. State has to match funds for publicity.
We discussed advertising ideas, get button collection out at IMA, better hand out cards, libraries, There will be sign up sheets for where you want to take flyers. committees for different areas of show stuff.
Stay late in August to make plans for Show.
Nina had the program on metal buttons, she had lots of info and picture buttons to share.
August 13 at MCL 11am, we will make button braclets with Joyce.

IBC Minutes May 14, 2014
The Club met at MCL with 14 present. Thanks to Deann our hostess. There was one guest Linda Choplin. Sue opened meeting. Jan is healing well, she is still at rehab center. Margaret reported we have $660.75 in treasury. I read minutes from April.
New business: reported by Sharon, the 2015 show will be at the Radison hotel by the old Ipls airport. All inclusive for $2000. It will be March 12,13 & 14. Price guarantee for 3 years. Newly renovated rooms for 94$ + tax of 17%. and beautiful ballroom with easy access. Cynthia and Saundra also went to Radison.
We signed up for the picnic at Sue's house on June 11 at 11am. Bring a salad or dessert. Can also sell buttons.
Joyce will help us make button bracelets in August. Sign up for which one to make. Bring your own buttons, parts provided.
Pat Cooper had the program on Kate Greenaway buttons. She had slides of her illustrations and pictures of buttons made from them.
We ate, had show n tell and the raffle.

Indianapolis Button Club Minutes April 9, 2014
The Club met at MCL with 14 present. Thanks to Barbara our hostess.
Sue opened the meeting. Jan is still in ICU send cards to her home.
Margaret reported $652.75 in treasury. I passed out the Spring Button Box.
We discussed the Show, we had twice as many attendees as last year. Next year's show will be Thursday thru Saturday. Cynthia and Sharon are still looking at a different hotel for next years show, they will let Sondra know by May 1 if they find a different place other than Columbus.
Our program was showing our new buttons and competition cards.
Jan was to have program in May, due to illness Pat Cooper will have a program on Kate Greenaway buttons. Paula is hostess.
We had show n tell and the raffle and ate.
PS.. if the show is in Plainfield next year there's a slumber Party at Sue's.

Indianapolis Button Club Minutes March 12, 2014
The Club met at MCL with seven present. The club was hostess. Sue opened meeting wishing Happy Birthdays. We discussed Show wrapup. Pat will do goody bags for dealers. Cynthia will order popcorn for bingo. Bring at least $5 button for Bingo.
We had questions and discussed our entries for competition.
We ate and adjourned.

INDIANAPOLIS BUTTON CLUB minutes Feb 12, 2014
The Club met at MCL with 11 present. Thanks to Paula and Ruthie our hostesses. They passed out button magnets and boxes of candy. Sue opened meeting wishing Happy Birthday to Elizabeth C. Jan has been released from wound Dr. but has other problems still dealing with per Deann. I read minutes from January. Margaret reported $646 in treasury. She has changed to a bank closer to home, free checking and no fees.
We then discussed the State show and looking for a new location. Sharon and Cynthia will put together guidelines for what we need so others can go to places near them and check out rates We discussed the program and decided on Button Bingo on Saturday night. You need a nice button to play. Sue will make up the rules. We were told to bring wrapped candy for registration table. Tray check-in 8-9am Friday morn. Cookies will return. Sharon had signs for use to put out at different locations.
Deann gave the program on basse-taille enamel. It is a translucent enamel and fragile. She had several cuff buttons. These are very pretty, something else to look for.
Thank You to those that helped with the bookmarks we made for handouts at Show.

Indianapolis Button Club minutes Jan. 11, 2014
The Club met at MCL on Saturday due to snow and cold and bad roads on Wednesday.  12 were present.  Sue opened the meeting.  She reported that Beth is in hospice.  Update on Beth, she passed on Jan. 12  services at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon, Jan 16 visitation 4-8p service on 17th at 11:30a.
Sharon passed out the new program books.  Thanks Sharon.
Margaret reported that she sent $100 to Sharing the Season a United Way Service.   We made 63$ on Dec. Raffle, the Club added 37$.  She collected $80 in dues.  There is now $703.63 in treasury.
Sondra reported on show business:  she has 47 tables sold with 16 dealers.
Sue had the program on snowmen buttons.  She had many cards and passed out snowmen favors.

IBC December 7, 2013
18 of us met at Goodys in Plainfield for our Christmas party hosted by Nina. Paula had the slate of officers: Sue Nadin president, Nina Olvey Vice-president, Margaret Schaller treasurer , Barbara Lyons secretary. All nominations stand. Pay dues of $5 to Margaret. We made $63 from raffle will be rounded off to 100$ and given to the United Christmas Services for kids. Bill had update on Beth, she is not eating and kidneys are failing she has hospice few days a week.
