Indianapolis Button Club. Minutes November 2019


15 met at Union Chapel. Sue led the meeting with happy birthdays to Sharon L, Paula and Pat Ward.
Thanks to Linda and Pat C hostesses.
Margaret reported$725.78 in treasury. She ordered 200 cards has 80 today.
Dec 4 is Christmas party fellowship hall of church
Bring pitch-in dish, drink, 2doz cookies if want to participate in cookie walk, button exchange and extra raffle gifts. Ham furnished.
Our raffle monies will go to toys for tots. Margaret will buy.
The club sent flowers to sue Hudson for the passing of her husband.
I received Thank You card(will read)
The historical society tree is done. Pat has tickets for gala on Thursday
Pat and Sharon will be interview by dick Wolfsie ch 8. By the tree. Can watch online if missed it.
Sharon has sign up sheets for next yrs program and hostess.
February will be a 2nd Saturday meeting. March will be first Wednesday.
Due to Show.
There's was a lot of talk about State meeting and business. Board will meet before Christmas party at 10.
Cynthia reported the 2019 show lost $619.79. Have about 6500 in bank.
For the national in Illinois next year they want us to do an Indiana basket for the raffle. We will donate products and Sue Nadine will chair and collect the items
Margaret gave a very informative program on moonglows and had many cards with the help of Paula. Great job Margaret.
We ate had show n tell and the raffle.

Indianapolis Button Club minutes August 14, 2019

We met at Union Chapel with 17 present. Sue opened the meeting and was the hostess. Email changes; Susan Maher, Katherine gave us her new info,
Sondra has new email.
Margaret reported $650 in treasury. Sent 25$ donation in memory of Sondras son to Billy's pantry.
Pat talked to historical museum to find good spot for our Festival of trees exhibit.
Make yo-yos for it.
Dec 4 is Christmas party pitch-in, in Fellowship hall at Union Chapel. Margaret hostess.
Sondra will be hostess in September as Linda is having surgery.
Margaret brought up whether to continue having raffle as we have plenty of money.
It was discussed and voted to continue. If you don't want to participate then don't.
Sue had a great program on pewter buttons. She had many interesting cards to pass and handouts.
We ate had show n tell and raffle.

   Indianapolis Button Club minutes July 10, 2019

   12 met at Union Chapel. Sue opened meeting.
   Sondra's son Mike passed away, service July 25 at Hazelwood Church.
   Happy Birthday to Marsha.

    Thanks to Sharon B. Our hostess.

   Margaret reported $693.50 in treasury.
   Wabash Valley picnic July 20 at Kathy's.
   Sue will give program on pewter in August.  Nina program In September on owls. 
   The Expo went well.  Sharon B gave the program on metal picture buttons.
           She had many examples  with the history of each button listed.
            We ate had show n tell and raffle.

Indianapolis Button Club Minutes. May 2019

We met at Union Chapel with 14 present.
Thanks to Ellie our hostess who furnished a delicious Japanese meal. She also had the program on Satsuma buttons with video presentation and examples.
June 15 is Button Expo in Middlebury. If you want the meal at Essenhaus on Friday night it's 14$. If you want to work the table on Saturday let Pat, Sharon or Ellie know.
Margaret reported $677.50 in treasury. I read minutes from April.
June is picnic at Sue's we signed up for dessert or salad. Drinks and meat furnished.
Ruth, Paula's granddaughter won 2 blue ribbons at Illinois show.

> We met at the Church with 16 present. Sue opened the meeting. Visitors Kathleen Benedict from east side and Kevin and Brian. Thanks to Johnnie our hostess. Sue said Nina hurt her back and couldn't be here. Margaret reported $660.50 in treasury. I read minutes from March.
> Carol gave a great in-depth informative program on Inuit buttons. She had lots of pictures and buttons.
> Sharon and Sue visited with Pat Ward. Ellie and Sharon gave talk on buttons at Brookville library. Pat went to Napanne club, Sylvia Durrell gave program on history of buttons and why we collect. We can get this recorded program if we want.
> Illinois show April 18-20.
> State received a certificate for 10 yrs in National.
> Next meeting May 8 at union chapel um church. Ellie has program on satsuma and will serve Japanese lunch.

IBC March minutes
>> We met at Union Chapel with 15 present. Nina opened the meeting, Sue lost her voice and Jerry had operation.
>> Thanks to Carol our hostess. She brought dessert and candy boxes.

>> Next years show will be at the Essenhaus in Middlebury.
>> The Club in Nappanee meets 3rd Wednesday, 10 to noon at Library.
>> Pat will have more info next month. She's Trying to get a group to be in charge of registration, publicity, secretary in charge of membership. Sharon Bailey volunteered to be secretary.

>> Next year awards will be down to 20. Someone suggested all awards be sponsored, whatever entries you want you sponsor. Further discussion at State meeting.
