Indianapolis Button Club minutes November 9,2016
The Club met at Union Chapel with 16 present. Sue opened meeting wishing Happy Birthdays to Sharon and Paula.
Thanks to Joyce , our hostess.
Margaret reported $828 in treasury.
I had IBC business cards made, per request. which were $16. ask me for more, when needed.
Sharon reported that we did get the grant from National. It takes lots of hours. We need to step up social media and like and share our facebook page.
Ellie reported that most of vendors have signed up.
Sharon is making button cards and needs old shoe buttons.
January meeting will be show prep and clerk class.
you should be working on your item for the Show runway.
Sharon had the signup for program and hostess
Sharon and Marsha did program at Little Sisters of the Poor with 15 attending, they enjoyed it.
Sharon and Pat went to Edan, Ohio library had group of 6-7 wanting to start a club.
Joyce had the program making a beaded braclet, with button closure, which some of us completed.
we ate had show n tell and the ways n means.
THE DECEMBER MEETING, CHRISTMAS PARTY WILL BE DECEMBER 14 (SECOND WED.) AT lONGHORN IN FRONT OF CASTLETON SQ MALL ON 82nd at 11am.
Bring your button exchange if want to participate and extra nice raffle gifts.

: IBC minutes September 14

The club met at Union chapel with 14 present.
Sandy was hostess.  We had one guest Patsy Jones, Ipls  who inherited her grandmothers buttons.

Sue had signup sheet for picnic at her house in October.  Can sell buttons if want only minimal space.  More space if weather is nice. Bring table
In November will make a bracelet led by Joyce.  Supply list handed out.  You bring all your supplies.  Video on utube.
Margaret reported $828 in treasury.
The Grant application  is moving along. They had some questions and suggestions.  Sharon will get back to them, we are probably in.
Sharon is giving program at Little Sisters of the Poor Oct 4.  They are excited.  Other places she contacted not so much.
Ellie booked the hotel next 2 yrs for same price.
She wants to have a fashion show and live auction at same time.
Sharon will have the postcards to start handing out in October.
Pat had the program on Ashlee buttons with a slide show.  A few examples were passed.
We had show n tell and ways n means and ate our lunches we brought.

IBC minutes August 10, 2016
Sue opened the meeting. there were 13 present at the Church.
Pat Cooper and Sue Hudson were hostess.
Margaret reported $801 in treasury. I read minutes from July.
New state business with Ellie's direction.
Pat Cooper volunteered to head up the new,
Children's Craft Area/Button Scavenger Hunt
Any ideas on getting children there pass on to Ellie
We passed around a sign-up sheet on what we did at
last Show and what we would like to do
next year. discussion about getting info out to public, social media, newspaper, retirement communities, etc.
There was a discussion on committing to 2-3 more years
at the Wyndham. Ellie and others are talking to Wyndham.

Pat had the program on movable/mechanical buttons.
She explained what they were, had a slide show depicting
them and showed us some of her collection.
We had ways n means and show n tell.
Saundra is hostess and program on September 14 at the Church.

INDIANAPOLIS BUTTON CLUB MINUTES MAY 13, 2016
The Club met at Union Chapel with 14 present. I was the hostess.
News on some members: Deann is back in hospital. Jan is having wound care on feet. rehab on Wednesdays.
Margaret reported $804 in treasury. She received thank you card from UCP (united cerebral palsey)for gift in memory of Susie Yost. Sue received thank you from ARF for donation Joyce made from bracelet findings.
We received an invite from American Sewing Guild to have a table at their annual national convention being held in Indy. July 8-11. We decided to do this hours to man the table are Thursday 7p-9;30pm, Friday and Saturday from 2p-7pm, Sunday 11a-5pm. need 2 people per session. setup Thursday by 6pm.
The June meeting is picnic at Sues. she passed out signup sheet.
Johnnie had the program on buckles. it was very interesting and she had lots and lots of buckles.

We met at Church with 17 present. Sue opened meeting and also brought dessert.
I read minutes from February. Margaret received a thank you letter from little sisters of poor for our $125 donation to them at Christmas. She reported $760.28 in treasury.
After show report: Cynthia had budget report, we lost $400 but Paula still has postcards and favor buttons left to sell. Paula thanked all for helping esp Sandy for handling the raffle table and Paul for all his help. Next year will be same hotel, show dates March 9-11, 2017. Sharon reported we had 180 entries and some judges didn't like the long hours. Tray entries will be limited to 10 per person and will have 25 awards.
We brought our trays from 2016 show to discuss.
We ate our lunches we brought and had the ways n means.

13 met at Church.  The club was hostess, we were to bring cookies to share.  Guests present Ellie Burton from Brownsburg and Mary macgregor and Marcy Au from Evansville.  Margaret reported $760.28 in treasury.  Sharon received a note on the website from? Friend of IdaBelles she has charm string from Dorothy Bromley and will bring it to the show with articles.  Sharon has some 2017 entries. Paula has charts for volunteers.  State meeting will be added to schedule.
We questioned our entries for show.
Ways n means was held.
No meeting in March.
April 13 meeting at Union Chapel UM Church. 11am

The club met at Union Chapel with 14 present. Sharon was hostess. Sue opened meeting. January birthdays, Cynthia and Peggy. Correction of raffle earnings in December were $83. $125 sent to little sisters of poor 76 to chick fil la. $50 to cerebral palsy in memory of Susie. Total $750.28 in treasury per Margaret.
> Show business. There is a big ad in county register. Paula had sign up schedule for show and asked to bring things from past to show. Sharon had the postcards for us to hand out at businesses and elsewhere.
> Sharon passed out program books for club and I passed out Button Box for state.
> Sharon had the postcards we are selling and we all put them together. Kathy took rest to do at home.
