IBC minutes Nov 2018
We met at Church with 18 present, 2 quest. Thanks to Ellie for bring soups and Pat treats and others the extras. Happy birthdays to Sharon L, pat ward, Paula and Kathy.
We have $610 in treasury per Margaret.
Diane Chmidling from northern IN had a great program on Abolishtionist. She had commissioned many enamel buttons made by Canada artist Diane Wieler. Plus some other buttons.
Officer nominees tabled for now. January meeting will be Button ring by Joyce.
February 9 meeting will be second Saturday to get people that work to attend. Also April 13 will be a Saturday meeting. Sharon had signup sheets for program and hostess next year.
Saundra brought up again about selling buttons at meetings. It was voted that we allow this but not during business. The Christmas tree at historical society was decorated by pat, Ellie and Sharon on the 4th floor, vote when you go. Tree with most votes gets article in HS news. The Christmas party is December 5 at Ellie's. She will provide food. Bring 2 doz homemade cookies for cookie walk, extra raffle prizes, button exchange, secret sister ex change money for buttons that will be for sale from an estate??? To be decided where we give our monies from raffle. Suggested 2nd helpings, Billy's kitchen, Cathedral Kitchen.
We ate had raffle and show n tell.

>> We met at Union Chapel with 15 present. Nina opened the meeting. Happy Birthday,s to Sue and Linda. Thanks to Saundra our hostess, who brought many goodies. Margaret reported $598.50 in treasury. I read minutes from September.
>> October 26 at 9:30a work on Christmas tree ornaments at Ellie's house. Festival of trees November 15 to January 5. November 15 VIP date. Put together nov. 11-13.
>> Christmas luncheon at Ellie's December 5. 11am. Ellie passed out cards for secret Christmas button sister. We signed up for what bringing to November meeting, Ellie-soup. Bring ur drink.

>> We met at Church with 12 present. Thanks to Sharon Bailey our hostess who brought many goodies. I led the meeting in absence of Sue and Nina. Margaret reported $733 in treasury. Sue Hudson passed out name tags. The Club will pay $147.50 for these. Diane Shimly will have the program in November about abolitionists. We will have a pitch in lunch for this meeting, Ellie will make soup. October we will present our Life in buttons cards. It was discussed that we bring back Don to sell buttons but not during business. More later on this. There is a new club in Napanne at the library the third Wednesday. The MRBA awards list, schedule, sign-up is online. Show October 11-13. Park regency, Bloomington, Illinois. We worked on the cards for the Christmas tree for the Festival of Trees at historical society. Sharon had the cards and backing cut out.

Indianapolis Button Club minutes April 11,2018

We met at Union Chapel with 16 present. Cynthia was hostess and had the program on the
new celluloid classification.
She had many examples.
Sue opened the meeting, no birthdays in April. Margaret reported $615 in treasury.
She spent $50 on new cards.
I read minutes from March.
New business, Ellie reported about the Button Expo in Middlebury on June 23.
There will be educational displays, information, children
activities. Bring historical items, Indiana buttons in May to meeting.
We discussed the awards for 2019. Some were bumped, no final list until fall.
Contact Sharon or Sue with entry suggestions.
You can add award money to entries. Sue suggested we have tray slips prebought.

We had lunch, show n tell and raffle.

Indianapolis Button Club minutes March 14, 2018

13 met at Union Chapel. Linda was hostess, bringing cupcakes, cookies and candy bags.
Nina opened the meeting in Sue's absence . We had guest Susan Townsend Maher. and new member.
Happy Birthdays to Joyce and Pat.
Ellie and Pat were commended for a great State Show.
Judging sheets need revised. losing some dealers that can judge. more discussion on judging followed.
Cynthia reported we made 2599$. as of now, no bill from hotel yet which will be at least $1800.
Does not include some food. State received $110 donated for the Christmas tree fund project It was suggested we meet before or after
IBC meeting for State meeting. nothing resolved on this..
Margaret reported $648 in treasury. Margaret suggested have raffle every other month or not at all.
we elected to still have every month. need all to bring a raffle prize and participate and pay attention during raffle.
the June 23 Button Expo will be able to sell State cards and some buttons
We discussed our entry cards and measles.

She sent Little Sisters of Poor $100 from Christmas raffle. We made $35 from raffle, 65 taken from treasury.. Sharen who was sick, dropped off the program address books and templates for making cards, and advertising cards for Show.
