She received a thank you letter from Little Sisters of the Poor, for our donation of $100 at Christmas. She made a motion that $50 each be sent to National for color pages for memorials for Janet Stimson who passed on 1-12-2017 and Deann Thomas who passed on 3-11-2017. Their names will be listed in National Bulletin. Motion passed to give honorary members of Ipls Button Club this honor. Pat made motion, Sondra seconded.
>> New bus: Ellie thanked all for everything at show. Will be looking for new venue that works with our budget. Dealers want good light and easy move in. We lost $257.38 per Cynthia's show report. But still have favor buttons and cards to sell. Ellie said need shadow for next show to take over in 2019. Pat Cooper agreed to do this.

>> Carol will have program in May on bone in place of Johnny.

IBC minutes Feb. 8
13 met at Union Chapel. Sue opened the meeting.Reports on members: Margaret had surgery on Monday, she is home and doing well except for pain. Deann is not doing well. Jan Stimson passed away Jan. 13. Larry sent a poke box for members to get some of Jan's buttons.No treasurer report in Margarets absence. I read minutes from January.Thanks to Sue our hostess. She brought candy bags and cookies.Sharen needs preliminary list for 2018 show. Theme is "Life is Sweeter with Buttons".Sharon and Joyce did a program with the professional sewing quild. And they will lead a button bracelet making class with them later.Sharon is putting out press release. Ellie went to northern IN and distributed ad cards.Sharon will do program and display in Glendale library.Make your Hotel reservation by Feb. 10 for special rate. We need 50 rooms total to not be penalized. Hotel said they would wave this yr. And send reservation for reception to Ellie. Make things for way n means table.Cynthia sent in the $250 to join the new Midwest Regional Button Club with first show in October 2018 in Bloomington, Illinois. We can enter competition.Had A discussion of starting a meeting in Terre Haute.We had show n tell and the raffle.Sharon and Sue had the informative program on what judges look for and handed out sample sheets.Barbara , secretaryThe MARCH meeting has been changed to MARCH 1. Indianapolis Button Club Minutes, January 11, 2017
The Club Met at Union Chapel with 12 present. thanks to Ellie our hostess who brought 2 soups, vegie tray and dessert.. Margaret opened the meeting, in the absence of Sue and Nina.
Pat Ward was made honorary member of IBC.
No minutes taken at our Christmas party, you just had to be there.
Margaret reported $798 in treasury. $100 sent to Little Sisters of the Poor.
Cynthia reported on the Midwest Regional Button Club Show being started, with first show October 2018, with 4 states. dues per state $250 startup and $35 after that. Can enter trays for judging if your state a member. More to follow.
Show business: Pat will be in charge of kid zone held on Saturday. 9-12 there will be a ways n means table with nice donations selling for $5 up. Also the raffle table with donations.
The fashion show will be at reception, model your handmade or button decorated items.
We signed up for work times at reception and ways n means tables.
Sharon passed out ad cards to pass around to businesses and etc.
We had show n tell and ways n means .
We then worked on projects for the show, the bookmarks and kid zone projects
.
After this meeting Jan Stimson passed away. More info below
