Indianapolis Button Club minutes October 12

We met at Union Chapel with 16 present.

Thanks to Sharon L our hostess, who brought lots of goodies.

Happy Birthdays to Ruth, Linda and Sue.

Paula reported $528.27 in treasury.

New business: Pat has new contracts, prices are going up.

Guerny, Illinois show Nov 5.

No old business.

Sharon and Joyce had a program on synthetic polymers and different techniques.

Sharon had many examples on cards.

Pat is wanting to borrow unusual rabbit buttons for the story of great rabbits in literature. For State show.

We had show n tell and raffle.

IBC minutes July 13
Treasurer Paul Thomas, called the meeting to order, as the only officer present today.
We had several members out sick.
12 members attended and we had 3 guest with us also.
Janice Meyers from Claremont.
Brooklynn and Leah Overman, Paula's granddaughters visiting from Toledo, Ohio.
We dispensed with minutes as Barbara was not in attendance.
Treasurer's report: $535.88 as of end of June.
Paul and Paula were our fill in hosts due to Nina being Ill. They used a patriotic theme and served yummy refreshments.
We had a fun show and tell time. Paul had buttons for sale.
Sondra gave an informative program on "Button Covers" and had some lovely
Examples for us to admire.
Paula gave us an update on the magnet fobs for National. All 400 are beaded and just need the tags that identify them as being from Indiana with our web address. They will be hand delivered to the show to save the postage cost of shipping. Several members stayed after our general meeting to work on the ID tags that will go on the Carabiners with the magnets. It was fun to visit and work together.

The club met at the Church with 15 present. Sue opened meeting.
I read minutes from April. Paula reported $476.88 in treasury.
Thanks to Sharon B. As hostess bringing goody bags with buttons and delicious dessert.
Paula and committee are working on magnetic beaded key fobs for National.
Sign up for June 8 picnic at Sues. Bring salad or dessert. Meat and drinks furnished.
Sharon B had informative program on Motiwala buttons. She had several examples and told us what to look for.
We ate had show n tell and raffle.

April 13, 2022 IBC minutes


The Club met at the Church with 15 present and  1 on zoom.  

Thanks to Marsha, our hostess, bringing bunny candy boxes with buttons and cheesecake.
Sue opened meeting.  Paula reported $430.88 in treasury.  I read minutes from Feb.  
Thanks to all that worked on the state show.  There was a $1611.77 profit.
MRBA is hosting the National Show in August in Wisconsin.  They are asking for volunteers and auction items and $10 buttons for a balloon pop.  Sign up on National site.  
In 2023 the MRBA show is pearl themes, some are making pearly outfits.
The Button Expo June 11, 2022 is in Jackson, MI at Commonwealth Commerce Center, 9:30 to 4:30 see Pat for more info.
Linda had a great program on pearl buttons. With many examples.
We ate had show n tell and raffle.

The Club met at Union Chapel with 15 present.
Sue opened meeting and we sang Happy Birthday to Sharon B.
Thanks to Paula our hostess bringing goodie buckets with chocolate buttons and cherry delight.  
Paul got a new account at first Merchants bank. Balance $510.55
$100 sent to NAMI( I have thank you card to read)
Paul now has membership cards.
Show business was discussed.
Paula had the program on Love, the different symbols for love and many buttons depicting love.
I received copy of audit of financial records from Jerry Nadin .
(Available in secretary notebook).

No March meeting due to State show the next day.
We will be meeting in the lower level in Fellowship Hall.  For now.
Come in same way and take stairs or elevator down.

Minutes December 8, 2021

14 met at Union Chapel for our Christmas party, pitch-in.

Sue opened the meeting.  Margaret reported $516.16 in treasury.

I read minutes from November, approved.

Sharon L put her name in for treasurer, we voted to leave slate as presented or

Amend to elect Sharon.

Nominations remained the same as presented and approved With Paul and Paula as co treasurers .

We had the big raffle.

We voted to give $100 to the National Alliance for Mental Illness.

Paul is checking on glass button making classes, it will most likely be next year on a Saturday.
