INDIANAPOLIS BUTTON CLUB MINUTES AUGUST, 14, 2013
THE CLUB MET AT MCL CASTLETON WITH 12 PRESENT. THANKS TO PAT C AND SUE H FOR BEING HOSTESSES. SUE OPENED THE MEETING WISHING HAPPY BIRTHDAYS TO BARBARA, AND SUSIE.
THOSE NOT PRESENT: DEANN, PAULA AND CYNTHIA AT NATIONAL, SUSIE AND BOB DON'T DRIVE FAR.AND BETH DOESNT FEEL LIKE COMING BUT SENDS HER LOVE. NO NEWS ON OTHERS.
MARGARET REPORTED WE HAVE $597.12 WE NEED CARDS AND SLEEVES, MARGARET WILL LOOK AROUND AS WILL SHARON.
I READ MINUTES FROM JUNE. WE HAD A FUN PICNIC AT SUES IN JULY.
SHARON HANDED OUT THE WORKSHEET FOR COLORED GLASS TO BE DONE FOR SEPTEMBER 11, MEETING. SHE EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SHADE, WHERE BLACK IS ADDED AND TINT, WHERE WHITE IS ADDED.
SANDY HAS THE SHEETS FOR NEW COLLECTORS, HAS GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW. WILL GIVE TO NEW MEMBERS. WE DISCUSSED THE HOURS AND WHEN TO JUDGE FOR NEXT YEARS SHOW. THEY WILL NOT BE THE SAME AS THIS YEAR. THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED FURTHER BETWEEN SHARON, SUE AND SANDY. SANDY WILL CHECK ON MEAL PRICES AND DECIDE WHETHER TO HAVE BREAKFAST OR DINNER OR SOMETHING ELSE.
WE ALL BROUGHT SHOW AND TELL FOR THE PROGRAM, SHOWING NEW BUTTONS WE HAD BOUGHT. BECKY COULD NOT DO THE PROGRAM ON CATS, HER HUSBAND PASSED AWAY RECENTLY.
WE ATE AND HAD THE RAFFLE.

Indianapolis Button Club Minutes June 12, 2013
The Club met at MCL with 16 members (new member Janet Boeldt)and one guest.(Ruth, Paula's granddaughter). I welcomed all and said happy birthdays to Sue H, Sheila and Jan. Thanks to me as hostess, president, vp, sec-treas. I passed out button candy and button bookmarks, I made.
I reported $511 in treasury. Margaret had put the favor buttons on eBay at 9.99 and then 4.99 but did not sell any. I returned them to Sondra. I collected 5 more dues.
I read minutes from May.
Carol has volunteered to be hostess in September, Pat C will find the worksheet on assorted materials. Or if anyone has one bring to picnic.
In Sue's absence, Nina passed out directions to picnic. RSVP to Sue if going.
Pat Ward and Johnnie had the program on Brooks buttons. They had many examples and pics..
We had show n tell, and the raffle.
Those not present: Peggy has 8 more treatments, not up to traveling. Betty, Margaret celebrating 35 wedding anniversary. Sharon with son, Sue in FL.

Indianapolis Button Club Minutes May 8, 2013
The Club met at the Scottish Rite Cathedral with 16 present.
Steve Cooper, Pat's husband led us on a tour of the magnificent building.
Margaret reported we have around $600 in treasury. The Ipls Club and State bought flowers for Nancy, If you didn't see them, it was a beautiful wreath of flowers.
Old Business: the picnic is in July for only paid members(per Sue) You can sell buttons.
On June 12 we meet at MCL Castleton. I am hostess and Pat Ward will give program on Brooks buttons.
We ate cafeteria style at the Cathedral, They have delicious food.
Pat had program on Fraternal Clubs and had pictures of some fraternal buttons.

Indianapolis Button Club Minutes April 10, 2013
The Club met at MCL with 15 present. Thanks to Johnnie our hostess. Sue opened the meeting wishing happy Birthday to Bob and Becky.
The club sent flowers for Sondra's brother who passed away in April.
Peggy said that she has breast cancer and will start treatment.
Jan Paul passed away.
Margaret has taken over the treasurer's job. She reported we have $619.92 She said we have plenty of sleeves. But need cards. SHaron will check on colored cards and Pat will check on getting white cards. We will stop giving doz. sleeves at raffle, will only be 3 now. losing money.
New Business: Cynthia reported the state show made money this year.
May meeting is at the Scottish Rite to take tour be there at 10a. meeting at 11 buffet lunch. Free parking behind the building. Bring fraternal buttons if have any.
The picnic has been changed to July.
Deann had the program on clear and colored glass. She brought many examples.
I then had to leave so don't know what happened next.

The Club met at MCL Castleton with 16 present. We had three guest, Kathy Ewald, Loraine Allman and Lucy Tucker. Sue opened the meeting wishing Feb Happy Birthdays. Report on those not here; Nancy is in IU Hospital(update she is now at Kindred-Bridgewater). Jan has car problems and is doing good. Beth doesn't feel up to coming. Bill Craig had knee surgery. Susie and Bob can't drive far. Betty is ill.
Wednesday, March 13 meeting is at MCL with Joyce as hostess. Bring buttons bought at show and cards you entered.
Pat Cooper and Barbara decorated the window at the Clarion. Sondra also helped. Five people loaned buttons. (Pat, Barbara, Deann, Sharon and Sondra). Sondra has sign up sheets for working. She has 59 tables rented for show. Sondra will do centerpieces. She appreciates all those that are helping. There will be a TV with westerns playing.
Margaret had Treasurers report and will do the job of treasurer in absence of Nancy.
Deann had the program on Bakelite. She told the history and had many examples and a 3 lb necklace she has made from all Bakelite buttons.
We ate had show n tell and the raffle which made $18.

Indianapolis Button Club Minutes Jan 9,2013
The Club met at MCL with 16 present. Peggy presided over the meeting in Sue's absence.
Thanks to Sharon our hostess. Peggy wished January Happy Birthdays .
Nancy has sent a check to Salvation Army of $100. there is approx $500 in treasury.
No old business.
New Business: Sharon passed out the program books. Programs are still needed for this year.
Show business: Margaret said Carol Antrim said she would do the window at Hotel.
Margaret will call her to be sure.
Cynthia is doing marketing, advertising. She will make flyers for distribution.
Sharon had the program on snowflakes She had studies of snowflakes and how they resemble buttons.
She had many examples, very interesting .
We had show n tell and the raffle.
